IEEE Internet of Things (IoT) Vertical and Topical Summit 2024

Ambiq’s founder and CTO, Scott Hanson, will be a featured speaker at this year’s IEEE Internet of Things (IoT) Vertical and Topical Summit on January 24th, 2024, from 12.30 pm – 2:30 pm CST.

Scott Hanson, CTO and founder of Ambiq, will explore how the latest evolutions in nanopower circuits and lightweight endpoint devices have created an unmatched opportunity in the medical space. He will explore how the latest evolutions in these technologies are combining to bring both your doctor and your personal trainer to your wrist with an emphasis on the following:

  • Overview of current intelligent endpoint devices
  • Inference performed on a server vs. the endpoint device.
  • Challenges of biomedical devices
  • Tackling these challenges with the Subthreshold Power Optimized Technology (SPOT) platform and the Apollo SoC family.
  • Outlook of low-power SoCs for the next generation of medical devices

The Seventh IEEE Internet of Things (IoT) Vertical and Topical Summit at Radio & Wireless Week (RWW) 2024 is devoted to biomedical IoT applications. Technologies for sensing, signal processing and computing, data storage, and communications are important ingredients in architecting biomedical solutions that are important to human health and well-being.

Ambiq’s first time at the biggest event of the year for the embedded community was a success! See some of the show highlights from Nuremberg, Germany below:

This year at Embedded World, visitors were treated to an array of energy-efficient semiconductor solutions from Ambiq. They got to see live demos, design wins, and the newly announced Apollo510 MCU which won the Best Hardware category from the Embedded World Committee and Best of Show from Embedded Computing Design.

Visitors also got to see how Ambiq streamlines AI development with neuralSPOT, an AI Development Kit (ADK) which makes adding popular AI features using the Apollo family of SoCs a walk in the park.

On April 10th the Founder and CTO of Ambiq, Scott Hanson gave his presentation AI in uW, kB, and MHz: Lessons From Real AI Deployments at the Endpoint” a unique opportunity for visitors to learn and discuss with the creator of the Subthreshold Power Optimization Technology (SPOT) platform about creating meaningful AI on resource-constrained endpoint devices.

Ambiq will present one of the hottest topics at the Edge AI Innovation Application Developer Conference in Hsinchu, Taiwan, on May 9, 2024, to share insights on how to enable meaningful, personal, and real-time AI on devices beyond the Cloud at the Edge and Endpoints.

Enabling Edge AI is a great step forward in producing intelligent and ubiquitous devices that leverage the latest innovations of neural network computing we’ve observed in the past couple of years. However, power consumption is still a limiting factor in enabling intelligence everywhere.

Eric Chu, Ambiq’s Sales Director, will present “AI Beyond the Cloud,” a special event that discusses endpoint computing, a step further beyond the edge, in which all calculations and inferencing are performed directly on the device instead of communicating to a cloud, enabling faster performance along with a host of other benefits.

In Eric’s presentation, he’ll cover:

  • An overview of Ambiq
  • Introduction of the Subthreshold Power Optimization Technology (SPOT) Platform
  • Use Cases for SPOT
  • The Ambiq product family and solution

We hope you’ll join us in learning how to enable the future of endpoint AI.
