  • blueSPOT® is Ambiq’s ultra-low-power Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) wireless technology, integrated into select Apollo® SoCs. It enables reliable Bluetooth connectivity for battery-powered embedded devices while minimizing energy consumption, making it ideal for wearables, medical devices, smart home products, and other connected edge applications. 

  • blueSPOT® is available on the Apollo3 Blue, Apollo3 Blue Plus, Apollo4 Blue Lite, and Apollo4 Blue Plus SoCs. These devices combine Ambiq’s ultra-low power processing architecture with integrated Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity for battery-powered IoT applications.  

  • blueSPOT® supports Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.x, depending on the Apollo SoC. Apollo4 Blue Plus and Apollo4 Blue Lite are Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 compliant and support features including 2 Mbps PHY, Direction Finding, and Advertising Extensions. Apollo3 Blue and Apollo3 Blue Plus support Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0.  

  • The Apollo4 Blue Plus/Lite SoCs run up to 192MHz on their Cortex-M4 with FPU, with up to 2.75MB SRAM and up to +6dBm transmit power. The Apollo3 Blue/Blue Plus SoCs run up to 96MHz, with up to 768KB SRAM and up to +3dBm transmit power. 

  • blueSPOT targets connected, battery- blueSPOT® is designed for battery-powered Bluetooth devices that require long battery life and reliable wireless connectivity. Typical applications include wearable fitness trackers, smartwatches, connected medical devices, smart home products, industrial IoT (IIoT) equipment, asset trackers, and other edge AI devices. 

  • Receiver sensitivity depends on the Apollo SoC. Apollo4 Blue Plus and Apollo4 Blue Lite provide receiver sensitivity of up to −95 dBm, while Apollo3 Blue and Apollo3 Blue Plus provide receiver sensitivity of up to −93 dBm, helping maintain reliable Bluetooth Low Energy connections in low-signal environments. 

  • blueSPOT® is optimized for ultra-low-power Bluetooth Low Energy communication, allowing connected devices to maintain reliable wireless connectivity while minimizing energy consumption. Combined with Ambiq’s SPOT® platform, blueSPOT helps maximize battery life for always-on and intermittently connected embedded devices. 

  • Yes. blueSPOT® is Ambiq’s Bluetooth® Low Energy technology, integrated into select Apollo SoCs. It enables low-power wireless communication for battery-operated embedded devices that require reliable connectivity and extended battery life.
