Product Engineer Program Manager

Ambiq is looking for a seasoned Product Engineer Program Manager. The candidate will be working with Senior Management, SoC Design, Software, Operations, Sales, and QA Teams to execute on Ambiq’s progress toward achieving the project and business objectives across multiple device development programs and geographies.  The candidate will work with these same cross-functional teams to establish program management processes at Ambiq, lead regular program reviews, and help to assess optimizations across programs.

Product Engineering is a cost, quality, and time-to-market driven Team responsible for enabling the availability of Ambiq low power products to our customers. Responsibilities for the Product Engineer Program Manager include understanding product features, developing schedule for characterization, highlighting test coverage holes, and driving test time and yield improvement plans. This requires interaction with Design, Test, and Validation Engineering as well as Operations Teams. The candidate will also be providing design for manufacturability inputs on future designs.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage test time and yield improvement activities across Design, Test, Validation, and Operations Teams.
  • Product characterization and test point optimization.
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Sound problem-solving skills.
  • Statistical methods and tools for data analysis (e.g., yield Perata analysis).
  • Semiconductor process, packaging, and test technologies.
  • DFT features such as ATPG Scan, memory BIST, JTAG, and at speed testing.
  • Effective communication and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries and geographically distributed teams.
  • Support alignment of advance technology roadmaps to the product roadmaps by evaluating new foundries and process technologies.


  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science or similar.
  • Specific experience in the Yield Analysis and Debug arena could be substituted for a specific degree.
  • 10+ years prior experience of shipping millions of products is highly desired.
