Scope and Responsibilities:

As the Director of Talent Acquisition at Ambiq®, you will drive the hiring strategy and manage the next stage of Ambiq’s aggressive growth.

This role will work with the executive leadership team and managers to enable best-in-class hiring processes to grow and scale the business. As the face of Ambiq to external candidates you will be a champion of Ambiq’s culture and values.

The successful candidate will be highly collaborative and not afraid to challenge the status quo. The person will be agile and able to deal with ambiguity while translating complex business issues into clear, coherent talent acquisition-solutions that drive impact. In addition, s/he will have a strong executive presence and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

The person in this role will be Ambiq’s first Talent Acquisition leader and will be expected to build out the talent acquisition strategy in partnership with Ambiq’s Head of HR. The ideal candidate is someone with the capability to design for a future state as well as execute the day-to-day operation personally. The individual must be experienced enough to know what great looks like, yet humble enough to do the day-to-day execution.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Understand the complexities of the different business units and how this translates into sourcing needs
  • Lead all sourcing strategies
  • Introduce innovative means to ensure a constant pipeline of recruits to meet the business demands that go beyond the traditional mainstream channels
  • Manage our external partnerships with professional associations, colleges, job boards and HR software vendors
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop digital content for social channel distribution according to the target audience to continuously reinforce the employer brand
  • Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews, and communication)
  • Provide coaching and support to hiring managers to ensure the best possible candidate experience
  • Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of our company
  • Develop a network of potential future hires (e.g., past applicants and referred candidates)
  • Measure and track key recruitment metrics, like source of hire and time-to-fill
  • Prepare and review our annual recruitment budget
  • Track candidate feedback and make recommendations for areas to improve all stages of the hiring process

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field from an accredited institution; advanced degree a plus
  • Semiconductor industry experience a plus
  • Proven experience as a talent acquisition leader in a high growth environment
  • Experience with companies at a similar size and stage of Ambiq
  • Prior experience with a global workforce and exposure to best-in-class talent acquisition practices
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR Databases
  • Experience attracting and communicating with a globally diverse candidate pool
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, capable of connecting business goals to talent acquisition practices in order to drive the most impactful hiring investments
  • Ability to influence at all levels through clear, informed, and logical business justification and discussion
